Periodontics Three-Day Mastertrack

CONTEMPORARY PERIODONTAL FLAP SURGERY FOR THE MODERN DAY DENTAL PRACTICE

This course is designed to provide the clinician with both the scientific background and the surgical techniques to
perform periodontal flap surgery and achieve predictable results. The participant will gain the knowledge and skills
to recognize, diagnose and treatment plan periodontal cases. All phases of periodontal flap surgery from incisions to
suturing techniques will be covered in detail. The hands-on portion will be performed on pig jaws.

CROWN LENGTHENING FOR PREDICTABLE ESTHETIC & FUNCTIONAL RESTORATIVE TREATMENT
OUTCOMES: A WORKSHOP

This hands-on workshop for will focus on the different techniques utilized in surgical crown extension for esthetic and
functional cases. Indications and contraindications for crown lengthening will be addressed. Proper case selection, flap
types and management from incisions, flap elevation, osseous surgery and suturing techniques will also be presented.

THE ART & SCIENCE OF CROWN LENGTHENING FOR SUCCESSFUL RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY:
FROM CONCEPTS TO PREDICTABLE RESULTS

This course will focus on the different techniques utilized in esthetic and functional crown lengthening. The concept
of biologic width and ferrule effect as it applies to crown extension will be addressed. Soft and hard tissue surgical
approaches will be emphasized. Proper case selection, flap types and management from incisions, flap elevation,
osseous surgery, and suturing techniques for predictable wound healing will be covered. Newer technology for crown
lengthening will also be introduced.

ESTHETIC & FUNCTIONAL PERIODONTAL PLASTIC SURGERY FOR IMPLANT &
RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY: A WORKSHOP

This course is designed to provide the participant with the opportunity to perform periodontal plastic surgical
procedures. The indications and techniques for surgical treatment based upon the need to re-establish esthetics, restore
a functional attachment and eliminate hypersensitivity will be covered. The participant will perform a free gingival graft
and a connective tissue graft on the pig mandible and understand the differences between the two techniques.

ESTHETIC & FUNCTIONAL PERIODONTAL PLASTIC SURGERY FOR MASTERPIECE IMPLANT
RESTORATIONS & RESTORATIVE DENTISTRY: UNDERSTANDING THE FUNDAMENTALS & BEYOND

This course is designed to address the key factors that determine successful soft tissue grafting. The indications and
techniques for surgical treatment based upon the need to re-establish esthetics, restore a functional attachment and
eliminate hypersensitivity will be covered. Today’s patients are demanding enhanced esthetic results and the connective
tissue graft and alternatives have gained considerable popularity incorporating positive features of the free gingival graft
however with considerably reduced donor site morbidity and an excellent cosmetic result.
