•	 Anatomy and physiology as applied to the delivery of sedation using

   oral sedatives and nitrous oxide
•	 Pharmacology of oral sedatives and nitrous oxide
•	 Techniques for administering nitrous oxide and oral sedation
•	 Pre-operative evaluation, monitoring, and record-keeping
•	 Prevention, recognition, and management of medical emergencies

   and complications in the dental office
•	 Hands-on instruction in nitrous oxide equipment and administration
